For people who don’t know: DOOM: Annihilation released earlier this year. Written and directed by Tony Giglio, it’s a reboot supported the computer game series from id Software and is additionally the second live-action film adaptation within the franchise, with the primary coming in 2005.
Starring, Amy Manson, Luke-Allen Gale, Nina Bergman, Dominic Mafham and more, it follows marines who must battle demons that have emerged from the “Gates,” a kind of interdimensional teleportation device. Unfortunately, the movie is not good, or a minimum of that is what its critical reviews would lead you to believe. It released in a direct-to-video format in October to mostly negative reviews that criticized almost everything about the movie. That said, despite mostly negative reviews, it sold quite well, beating yearly sales expectations after one month. In other words, while the movie — largely — struggled with critics, it found an audience.
