BTS’ J-Hope Fronts Map of The Soul: 7 Comeback Trailer ‘Outro: Ego’

Today (Feb. 2), BTS released the newest song off their upcoming Map of the Soul: 7 albums, J-Hope’s solo track “Outro: Ego.”

A funky track typical of the star’s bright and infectious style as a soloist, most prominently seen on his 2018 Hope World mixtape, “Outro: Ego” follows the prior releases of Suga’s “Interlude: Shadow” and therefore the album’s first single, “Black Swan.”

The new song was released through a music video today that kicks off by referencing the intro track and debut trailer for BTS’ very first album, 2013’s 2 Cool 4 Skool, and features J-Hope ruminating on the alternatives that, while not always easy, have led him to where he’s now as a member of BTS, seven years since the act’s debut on June 13, 2013.

“Now I do not care, it’s all choices by my fate so we’re here/ look ahead, the way is shinin’/keep going now,” he proclaims during the chorus.
