The long-running television program Supernatural is finally coming to an end soon but its executive producer isn’t ruling out the likelihood of a movie happening.
The possibility of a Supernatural movie could be on the cards this point because the indication has come directly from executive producer Robert Singer. Last year, during a conversation with Digital Spy during a roundtable interview at Comic-Con, Singer revealed that he’s not completely ruling out the thought of adapting the show for the large screen. But he also said that there must be some kind of time-lapse before it happens.
He said, “I don’t think it is a dream. But I feel, generally, once they make a movie of a television program, there is a certain time lapse between the 2 – certainly with X-Files. So I’m never ruling it out. It’s something I’d have an interest in. I feel the boys would probably like to roll in the hay. But immediately, we’re just trying to urge through this [final] season and roll in the hay during a way that folks are going to be proud of it.”
He also added that showrunner Answer Dabb revealed that The CW isn’t too keen on a spin-off show. When asked about the likelihood of a spin-off series, he said, “I highly doubt it. In five years, who knows? Everything’s getting repacked at some point. But a spin-off within the way we’ve tried within the past? I don’t know that this network has an appetite for that. Whether we agree or afflict that, that’s a choice they’ve made.”
